Happy 2014! We would like to invite you to our next IdeaCamp at the brand new Launchpad Huntington, home to eGifter and other startups. IdeaCamp will be held on February 26 at 6:00 p.m. Launchpad Huntington is located at 315 Main Street in Huntington. Use the rear entrance of the building facing the parking lot and it is on the second floor. Please RSVP to Phil Rugile (phil@egifter.com), Human Capital Strategist at eGifter and Accelerate LI entrepreneur-in-residence, so we can get a headcount for pizza and beer. For those of you new to IdeaCamp, it is a quarterly meet up of Long Island entrepreneurs (from mostly tech startups) to discuss different issues they are facing and to network. From now on IdeaCamp will be held at Launchpad Huntington.

Thanks and please remember to RSVP to Phil. FYI I will be on maternity leave starting next week so if you need anything Accelerate LI related contact Mark Lesko – mlesko@accelerateli.org. Thanks!

Do you have the Right Stuff to be a Business Tech Entrepreneur? Then this mindfulness workshop is for you.  Our minds are directed in numerous directions simultaneously.  Besides the deluge of information coming at us from people, and an array of media, and a flood of new technologies, our own thoughts tend to focus on moments both from the past and in the future.  We imagine future scenarios and set goals and expectations that may be beyond our reach, thus preventing us from accomplishing our goals.  Mindfulness teaches us how to re-direct our focus solely on the present.  This workshop will teach you how to reset and focus your attention on the business and affairs at hand. Learn how to apply mindful techniques while meditating, exercising, walking or commuting. Learn how to train your mind to be an impartial spectator to what is in front of you in the present moment.   Be more productive by directing your focus where you aim it.  This session will consist of an open discussion, a brief lecture and a guided meditation.
